TERMS OF BUSINESS

These Terms of Business (“Terms”) govern the provision of legal services by Giyose Attorneys (“the Firm”) to its clients. By engaging the Firm’s services, you (“the Client”) agree to be bound by these Terms.

1. Scope of Services

The Firm agrees to provide legal services to the Client as mutually agreed upon. The scope of services may be outlined in a separate engagement letter or agreement.

2. Client Responsibilities

The Client agrees to: a. Provide the Firm with all necessary information and documentation relevant to the matter. b. Cooperate with the Firm and promptly respond to requests for information or instructions. c. Abide by any deadlines or requirements set forth by the Firm.

3. Fees and Billing

a. The Firm’s fees for legal services will be outlined in the engagement letter or fee agreement provided to the Client. b. Unless otherwise agreed, fees are due and payable upon receipt of the Firm’s invoice. c. The Client is responsible for all costs and disbursements incurred in connection with the matter, including court fees, expert fees, and travel expenses. d. The Firm reserves the right to charge interest on overdue accounts at the prevailing rate.

4. Confidentiality

The Firm will maintain the confidentiality of all information provided by the Client in accordance with applicable laws and professional standards.

5. Conflict of Interest

The Firm will disclose any conflicts of interest that may arise in the course of representing the Client. If a conflict arises, the Firm will take appropriate steps to address the conflict, which may include declining or terminating representation.

6. Limitation of Liability

The Firm’s liability to the Client for any claims arising out of the provision of legal services shall be limited to the fees paid by the Client to the Firm for those services.

7. Termination

Either party may terminate the engagement at any time upon written notice to the other party. The Client agrees to pay for all services rendered and costs incurred up to the date of termination.

8. Governing Law

These Terms of Business shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of South Africa.

9. Amendments

The Firm reserves the right to amend these Terms of Business at any time. Any amendments will be effective upon written notice to the Client.
